Job Overview
To be the main contact for SME and Network clients to serve, coordinate, and follow up on service orders with the different operational departments and Schenker offices/partners to report on the status of their shipments, as well as to identify and provide efficient solutions to deviations and complaints from clients and networks that arise during the shipping process to ensure the quality of service, development, and permanence of accounts in the company based on international regulations, procedures, and guidelines defined internally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support and follow-up for our port operations, including loading and unloading maneuvers, transfers, and confrontations.
- Resolve problems and make decisions within logistics processes.
- Handle different types of merchandise at a basic level, such as oversized, dangerous, and refrigerated goods.
- Work on understanding customer needs and provide support in customer service.
Requirements
What you need to succeed? (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Advanced English
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Basic understanding of reading quotes and foreign trade, as well as national and international regulations for goods traffic.
- Management of export and import documentation for various cargo types (dangerous, perishable, etc.) in sea shipments, with correct application of INCOTERMS.
- Knowledge of main ports international crossings, and coordination of different transport modes, including customs clearance basics.
- Ability to use and learn shipmnt management systems, with skills in weight and cubic capacity calculations.
