    Responsible for being a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners and the DBS BTS fulfillment site. Tasks & Responsibilities: •Responsible for all Material Planners and Sr. Material Planners on the west coast. •Oversee and schedule training of all new material planner associates. •Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed upon product lead times. •Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed upon timeline. •Manage the lead times of all POs placed on behalf of the customer and report on agreed upon lead times and expedite PO’s as needed. •Ensure the recommit process is followed. •Review the back log report and coordinate any escalations with the supplier and review these recommits and any rejected expedited requests. •Review the suppliers build/ship plans ensuring the plan will meet the commitments based on the PO date. •Review potential on time shipment, OTS, issues to eliminate any orders shipping after the scheduled dates or OTS and document the issue. These will be reported weekly. •Manually schedule orders falling outside of the products scheduled lead time with the supplier and identify reasons why product is not scheduled within lead time •Monitor lego tickets. •Weekly regional meetings •60% Travel required. •Conjointly working with GSO material planner, builds forward to improve material flow •Collaboration with Regional Material Planner to standardize all processes in NASA •Conduct skip level meetings monthly and weekly builds sweeps •Manage and oversee all OTIF’s and MR receipts

    Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: •This is a manager level role. Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, demonstrate excellent communication skills, including report writing and speaking effectively to company personnel, outside companies, and government agencies to successfully achieve objectives. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Willingness to travel within the product sites. Generally, prefer 3-5 years of experience of technical knowledge, related supervisory/management experience, and experience in material planning management. Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices. We are an equal opportunity employer.
