    We are looking for you as Head of Global Application Management (f/m/d) for DB Schenker AG in Essen. 

    Your tasks:

    • You align the processes of application operations and support with the IT strategy imposed by GOIS
    • Ensuring that the infrastructure landscape meets the business objectives set by GOIS is part of your role
    • Using collaborative tools, you streamline support structures, reduce bottlenecks, and shorten response times
    • You ensure adherence to governance and compliance rules
    • Improving communication between IT, BU/FU, and stakeholders is one of your responsibilities
    • Promoting a culture of transparency and collaboration to ensure alignment and mutual understanding between IT units is key
    • Implementing standardized quality checks to ensure applications meet requirements is part of your duties
    • You establish harmonized monitoring and reporting mechanisms for the compliance of applications with operations and support standards
    • Working on optimizing IT spend related to applications and increasing global cost transparency is within your scope
    • You steer and implement standard processes and principles in the area of application Management and coordinate all application management resources to ensure the implementation and execution of standard processes is your responsibility
    • Acting as an interface between HO and all national and regional IT units concerning application management is part of your role
    • Leading the improvement of application management activities is one of your tasks
    • You act as the central escalation instance for overarching issues in application management, such as process-related topics in the collaboration between IT&D units
    • Training staff in application management principles, processes, and procedures is part of your duties

    Your profile:

    • You have a bachelor's degree in a related technical or business area or equivalent work experience
    • You bring several years of relevant technical and business experience in the area of ITSM and knowledge of service management processes
    • Experience in building and managing support organizations and application operations is part of your background
    • You possess positive and integrative collaboration skills, establishing strong supportive relationships across all departments
    • High flexibility and willingness to travel internationally are required
    • You are fluent in English
