The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, handling, and documentation of inventory within the warehouse facility. Key duties include verifying part numbers and quantities against warehousing paperwork (packing slip), screening for any obvious damage on parts, segregating damaged items as needed, safely handling and packaging parts according to established procedures, and accurately completing associated electronic transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Tasks and responsibilities: Work with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Assist in prepping parts for receipt and picking parts to fulfill orders. Conduct inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records. Manage the dock area efficiently as a Dock Hand, coordinating the flow of goods and ensuring timely loading and unloading of shipments. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. Verify part numbers and quantities of incoming inventory by comparing them with the information provided on packing slips or other documentation. Conduct visual inspections of parts to identify any signs of damage, defects, or discrepancies, segregate damaged items according to company guidelines. Safely handle and pack parts using appropriate materials and techniques to prevent damage during storage and transportation.
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with the customer, team members, and other warehouse departments. The ideal candidate for this entry-level position will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills are required for data entry and utilizing electronic inventory tracking systems. While prior experience with RF (bar-code scan) devices is preferred, it is not mandatory for entry-level candidates. This role offers a pathway for career growth and advancement within the company. Generally prefer 0-2 years of experience.
