Your tasks
- Lead the identification and implementation of digital technologies and innovative solutions to drive supply chain efficiencies and improvements.
- Proactively monitor and manage regional/global KPIs, setting ambitious targets for supply chain performance.
- Spearheaded joint value projects across clusters, facilitating collaboration and sharing of best practices to achieve mutual benefits.
- Direct the design and execution of strategies for continuous improvement, leveraging insights from data analytics and industry trends.
- Lead Program Management teams to ensure alignment on performance improvement strategies and corrective actions, enhancing overall service delivery and customer loyalising process.
- Act as a senior liaison among European program management teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Implement strategies to maintain high levels of team engagement and retention, recognizing and addressing the unique challenges of a multicultural workforce.
- Drive strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the program management capabilities and services offered by DB Schenker in Europe, contributing to business growth and innovation.
- Drive the implementation of the ISC Governance Model to existing ISC accounts in Europe
- Establish the "Destination Support Model" to ensure an ISC program manager from the team properly attends to ISC customers.
- Drive customer health checks to identify process improvements and re-implementation efforts.
- Actively liaise with the Regional and Cluster's ISC Implementation team to complete re-implementations / improvement programs as per customer requirements and scope of work. Avoid potential scope creep.
- Ensure each European Cluster ISC Program Manager manages their customers in line with the ISC Governance Model which includes (re-)implementation, SOP creation & updates, KPI definition & review, QBRs, customer value programs, data quality improvements.
- Lead the functional oversight of Program Management teams across DB Schenkers Europe Region, ensuring best practices in project execution and delivery.
- Facilitate the harmonization of service delivery standards and practices across clusters, promoting consistency and operational excellence.
- Champion the integration of operational processes with advanced IT solutions, particularly the Infor Nexus Suite, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee developing and implementing strategies for systems, resources, and facility enhancements in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Foster a continuous learning and improvement culture, ensuring program management teams are well-equipped with the latest industry knowledge and tools.
- Promote rigorous project management discipline for internal initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Requirements
- University degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Management, or a related field, with a strong preference for advanced degrees or certifications in project management or supply chain management.
- At least 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, predominantly in Intercontinental Supply Chain Solutions and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proven leadership experience in functionally managing and developing multicultural teams across different countries, with a solid ability to coordinate efforts and drive team performance on direct and indirect reports.
- Demonstrated expertise in Order Management Solutions, Freight Management Solutions, and leading digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain.
- Familiarity with the Infor Nexus suite would be highly valued.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, coupled with a detail-oriented and data-driven approach to management.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably additional European languages, reflecting the multicultural environment of the role.
- Willingness and ability to travel across Europe as needed to engage with teams, participate in strategic meetings, and lead regional initiatives.
