Jack, Site Manager in Ireland
In his position as Site Manager in Ireland, Jack leads a large contract logistics team responsible for end-to-end performance delivery. 24 x 7 x 365.
Leading a team of 200 people, Jack and his colleagues meet daily to ensure good communication and planning for any gaps in resource and to review and resolve any issues. His role encompasses a broad scope including monitoring and managing headcount, developing the customer delivery model including new business scoping and operational team development. There is always a big focus on process optimisation and standardisation across the operation to drive cost improvement as well as customer relationship management and regular reviews with the customer.

Jack and DB SCHENKER share a long common path
Having joined DB SCHENKER back in 2004 Jack has built up his career starting as Compliance Manager, developing into Operations Manager and now Site Manager for a key contract logistics operation. During that time, he has successfully been part of teams delivering projects and initiatives including compliance, improving processes and procedures, improving inventory integrity, driving safety programmes, and successfully moving a warehouse facility. The Ireland team, pioneers in implementing a reticle delivery department in the factory (now 62 members), has maintained an offsite warehouse successfully meeting TAPA standards since 2012. With a TAPA certificate, they showcase enhanced cargo security across the supply chain. Additionally, their numerous ISO awards attest to the organization's adherence to well-defined processes and procedures.
