    The Business Account Executive will play a critical role identifying and qualifying suitable new business opportunities for the organization that will help build DB Schenker’s overall sales pipeline. Responsible for handling inbound/outbound sales calls for new and existing accounts. Initiate conversations with prospects while qualifying and quantifying opportunities that would be a good fit for DB Schenker to pursue further. A Business Account Executive would forward any and all well-qualified leads to the appropriate sales channel for follow up on those identified opportunities. This role requires consistent interaction with all sales channels within the DB Schenker network while aiding in the implementation of routine marketing campaigns to enhance business development and revenue growth.

    • Utilization of professional sales tactics to proactively engage C-level decision makers via outbound calls, inbound calls and email correspondence.

    • Optimization of company CRM, phone calls and email to establish communication within DB Schenker sales organization.

    • Daily use of CRM for logging/documenting all call and email correspondence while formulating new leads, capturing prospecting data, customer profile creation/editing.

    • Customer consultation of product service offerings and being an educational resource in regard to all modes of transportation and up to date market updates.

    • Daily outbound cold calls and solicitation emails with volume requirements being based on load count/revenue/gross margin production

    • Utilization of LinkedIn and Social Media for “Social Selling” in order to increase visibility and capture new audiences


    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required.

    • Knowledge in Transportation and Logistics is a plus but not required.

    • Have strong presentation skills and able to write, think, and communicate clearly.

    • Strong Leadership skills and an ability to sell and lead by example.

    • Ability to get past gatekeeper.

    • Strong computer skills.

    • Effectively email, host communicate over the phone and strong organizational skills.

    • Ability to learn quickly.

    • Strong work ethic to do what it takes to get the job done-approach while maintaining high business ethical standards.

    • Ability to work independently.

    • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
