    The Vice President of Dedicated Sales is responsible for overseeing the sales efforts and pipeline for dedicated sales and assist in the development of dedicated customers as well as identifying and closing of new opportunities. This position is also responsible for providing leadership to the sales group in defining and meeting objectives for the dedicated sales segment of our business. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Maintain/manage a dedicated pipeline for the sales team averaging $80,000,000 monthly. • Close an annual 3% of all dedicated opportunities generated within a 12 month window. • Increase truck count in dedicated services portfolio. • Expand customer base/type in dedicated services portfolio. • Refresh and maintain ‘Go to Market Plan’ for dedicated. • Identify and secure resources for dedicated service offering. • Identify and execute target customer strategy.
    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience. • 5 – 10 years proven ability in high level transportation sales, including: Asset based Truckload, and value added sales such as brokerage, dedicated, and intermodal. • Experience securing and working with Fortune 1000 companies. • Astute negotiation skills and ability to build strong business relationships with all levels, including C-level executives. • Strong verbal, written skills and analytical skills. • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. • Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety. WORKING CONDITIONS This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to: • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time • Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs • Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions • Occasionally move up to 20 pounds of office objects • Occasionally attend meetings in buildings adjacent to corporate office requiring travel in outdoor weather conditions, and occasionally attend meetings at off-site locations with varied internal and external conditions • Travel domestically and internationally as necessary This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee in this position.
