    • Design, code, test, and maintain Java applications components.

    • Good Experience developing RESTful APIs with REST best practices.
    • Familiarity with full stack development with JavaScript UI frameworks e.g., VueJS or Angular is beneficial.
    • Familiarity with both Monolith and Microservice architecture styles
    • Familiarity with server-side Java Spring boot, JAX, SOAP, & JMS 
    • Familiarity with messaging queuing systems like SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar
    • Experience in AWS for cloud-based development Using EC2, RDS, SNS, SQS, S3, EFS and other services. 
    • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
    • Experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Good knowledge of SQL RDBMS database design, optimization, and query performance.   
    • Familiarity with Prometheus ELK stack for effective application log analytics and metrics monitoring 
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle phases
    • Effective cross-cultural communication with an international team 
    • Result oriented and collaborative working mindset. 
    • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies e.g., SCRUM Kanban 
    • Experience in, JIRA, Confluence 
    • Business fluency in both written and spoken English is a must.

    At our global Digital Document Services (DDS) team, we provide cross-functional services for all Business and Functional Units worldwide within Schenker supporting them with our services as backbone for Schenker operations digital creation, distribution, archival and document access processes. Running initiatives and upcoming projects are thriving to further improve and boost our way of digitizing Schenker’s global digital document management. 

    In this position you will work in one of the most critical application development & maintenance teams providing services with a various number of applications within the Schenker IT landscape and get to know Schenker various IT and business use cases with all the teams and its cross functional interfaces and help us to further scale up and grow with us together.

    The Java Developer for Document Management (DM) applications will be part of the Digital Document Services technical team supporting/Working in Java coding for the applications which are used as core interface for Schenker biggest transport management systems e.g., for air & ocean business. You will be part of an international development team located in Warsaw/Poland and Nanjing/China.
