    Join Our People & Organisation Team in the UK & Ireland as a P&O (HR) Business Partner (Maternity Cover)!

    We are on the lookout for a dynamic HR Business Partner to cover a 14 month maternity cover, primarily based at either our Heathrow or Bradford office (with part time remote working and occasional travel to other sites). As a strategic link between our P&O (HR) team and the business, you will play a crucial role in achieving organisational goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of HR practices in a fast-paced environment. You will enjoy a hybrid work model, fostering a flexible and collaborative environment.

    This role reports geographically to the Chief People Officer of the UK & IE, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the cluster HR strategy supporting an workforce of c600 colleagues across UK and Ireland. Additionally, you will have a matrix functional reporting line into the European HR Business Partner, ensuring alignment with broader European and Global initiatives.

    Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00 to 17:30

    Location: Heathrow or Bradford, UK

    Salary: £55,000 to £65,000

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership: As a senior member of the P&O (HR) UK&IE team, you will be instrumental in maintaining positive team morale and a vibrant organisational culture. Your role includes supporting and mentoring junior P&O (HR) team members, ensuring their success, and having line management responsibility for a Senior P&O (HR) Advisor(s).
    • Business Partnership: Act as the primary P&O (HR) Business Partner for assigned business areas, fostering collaboration through regular one-on-one meetings and team interactions. Collaborate closely with Business Leadership to drive performance, facilitate change, understand business needs and develop HR strategies to achieve organisational objectives.
    • People Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of tailored 'people plans' that align with business strategy goals. Support strategic people management programs in alignment with company and unit goals.
    • Employee Relations: Provide comprehensive advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices. Advise managers on employee relations matters, including performance, grievance, disciplinary, and restructuring.
    • Policy Development: Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legislative updates. Collaborate with colleagues to implement consistent processes, procedures, and policies across the cluster.
    • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate with L&D department to development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

    Requirements

    About You:

    We are seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated expertise in Talent Management, Employee Relations, Retention, and Performance & Reward. Your proficiency in HR Systems and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential. You should have the capacity to make sound, independent decisions in ambiguous situations, coupled with an influential and assertive communication style.

    Your confidence, gravitas, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial. Resilience is key, as you will be juggling multiple priorities with ease, showcasing your strong decision-making skills under pressure.
