We are looking for you as a Global Platform Architect (f/m/d) for Schenker AG.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for the maintenance of the baseline and target architecture for global platform services hosted on Azure as part of our Azure Product Team
- Analysis of current and development of a future architecture for global platform services hosted on Azure based on strategic imperatives and in close alignment with the overall Infrastructure Architect and the Product Owner Azure
- Responsible for development of standard infrastructure architectures for global platform services and development of implementation plans (architecture roadmap for global platform services)
- Develop, evaluate, and improve a global data center platform architecture design to achieve best-in-class quality of core capabilities in performance, reliability, safety, and privacy
- Supports the global data center consolidation and transformation process
- Development of cloud principles and standards for the global data center cloud platform (IaaS & PaaS & SaaS)
- Coordinate with the Azure Product Team on the implementation of the architecture and will provide technical leadership on the cloud Architecture
- Supporting the migration of data and application of Custom and Custom of the Self (COTS) applications in cloud servicesTe
- chnical coaching of members from the Azure Product Team
- Support DB Schenker in its “Cloud First” strategy & digitalization by designing & implementing leading edge technology
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Profound knowledge in data center cloud platform technologies with a focus on Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in automation and scripting of deployment and operation procedures
- Certifications in the areas of Azure cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert), Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Databases
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools
- •Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- 5+ years work experience as an Azure senior engineer or cloud architect, preferred from the consulting business
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel (internationally)
- The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder
- Strong technical leadership skills, intercultural competence, global mindset, strong communication skills, solution orientation, willingness to learn and flexibility
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty rotation as part of our DevOps team
