PT Schenker Petrolog Utama, part of DB Schenker, one of the leading worldwide logistics providers, is pleased to announce the opening of a new National Transportation office which will strengthen the company’s footprint in Indonesia. The opening of the new office is in line with DB Schenker’s strategy to expand its national transportation services in the country.
DB Schenker already has branch offices in Jakarta, Medan, Batam, Semarang, Surabaya, and Balikpapan. The new office is situated in Bekasi, on the eastern border of Jakarta, and will provide national transportation services to local and international customers. It is strategically located near the main highway Cibitung-Cilincing connecting Eastern Java with Indonesia’s major port, the Port of Tanjung Priok.
Land transportation makes up the majority of Indonesia’s transport modes. Strong growth of the sector, currently dominated by local players, is expected due to the continued development of road infrastructure and economic growth.
“The opening of a new office for National Transport is an important part of our growth strategy,” said Victor Lim, CEO of PT Schenker Petrolog Utama.
Thanks to our new office, we can establish even closer ties with our customers and business partners. Furthermore, it will strengthen our service capabilities in the fast-growing Indonesian and Asia Pacific markets.
Victor Lim, CEO of PT Schenker Petrolog Utama, and Halim Sugyanto, CFO, perform the official ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the new office.
The new office not only establishes physical presence, it also enhances operational efficiencies which will help PT Schenker Petrolog Utama to continue to keep pace with its customer needs.
“We found a strategic and well-served space to maximize our work efficiently, both for what it means for customers and what it means for our company,” added Roni Masuddin, National Transport Operation Manager.
