    Shift - Sunday to Thursday 10:30pm to 6:30am


    Position Description Summary

    Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of the delivery through a dedicated fleet for freight destined to Ontario markets. Coordinate pick up and arrival, of freight on a time sensitive basis to meet customer commitments and specifications. Effectively manage driver compliment in concert with Transport company contacts. Additionally, the Dispatch Coordinator must also be committed to exceeding client expectations while respecting company policies.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Arranges and prints delivery orders for shipments and ensures any special delivery requirements are met.
    • Manages vendor relations with 3rd party dedicated transport company.
    • Routing of dedicated trucks with assistance from software program.
    • Knowledge of 3rd party vendors in LTL market place.
    • Maintain and develop driver meeting agenda.
    • Coordinated pick up and arrival of shipments from Manufactures.
    Knowledge and Skills

    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with driver duty hours.
    • Must enjoy fast paced environment
    • Team Player
    • Familiarity with public warehousing and 3PL operations
    • Highly organized
