    Health & Safety Coordinator

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. If you have a passion for ensuring workplace safety and have experience in the logistics or manufacturing industries, this role is perfect for you. As a key member of our onsite team, you will assist in maintaining and enhancing our Health and Safety compliance standards.

    What will you be doing?

    • Ensuring Safety Standards: Oversee all site activities to ensure they meet the highest Health and Safety standards.
    • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients and consultancies regarding Health & Safety requirements.
    • Training Needs: Identify and address all Health, Safety, and Welfare training needs on site.
    • Risk Management: Implement and maintain the Risk Management System in collaboration with management.
    • Preventative Measures: Work with Department Managers and Maintenance to introduce preventative measures to minimise risk.
    • Safety Reviews: Lead weekly Safety review meetings to update site Safety KPIs.
    • Incident Investigations: Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions with Department Managers and Supervisors.
    • Compliance Documentation: Review contractor risk assessments, Method Statements, and other safety compliance documents.
    • Emergency Contact: Act as the point of contact for emergency situations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.

    Requirements

    About You

    • Experience: Previous experience of working in health and safety
    • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related studies is essential
    • Regulation Knowledge: Good understanding of health, safety, and welfare regulations, guidelines, and best practices
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Communication: Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to establish effective professional relationships across all departments.
