Aline strives for efficiency in her career and personal life
Aline, Manager, CoE Global Contract Management
In her current role at DB Schenker, she’s paved the way for standardizations, transparency, and efficiency regarding the handling of contracts. Aline is driven by efficiency. She joined the company eight years ago as a DB Schenker Manila Administrative Competence Center Inc./Global Shared Service Center (“GBS”) pioneer employee in the Air/Ocean APAC pricing department.
"If someone sees your potential and trusts you, great support will follow."
In 2017, Aline became the first ever contract manager in the Manila Center to work on customer contracts for the Pilot Country Australia/New Zealand. She then transitioned from a contract manager supporting one country and over to being a member of the CoE Global Contract Management team.
The CoE Global Contract Management’s 5-person team supports all business functions and units globally on contract management questions. The team of contract managers in Manila has grown to 16 members who work closely with 12 contract managers in Europe.
Covering all of APAC
Aline’s responsibilities cover the entire APAC region, as well DB Schenker’s global contract management database, GlobeCon. "At first it was a huge challenge and a change process in and of itself,” said Aline. “But seeing how our colleagues worldwide accept and benefit from our work is a true honor for me. It’s been a true team effort!”
Aline said working for DB Schenker has taught her that no matter where you came from, it’s your performance that counts the most. “If someone sees your potential and trusts you, great support will follow,” she said.
“Needless to say, I am thankful for the trust that I got and it’s what drives me to challenge myself to be better,” Aline added. “It led me to strive to be a better version of myself and focus on achieving my goals.”
Living her Best Life
Currently, Aline is working in her home office due to the pandemic, juggling online schooling and entertaining her son, while ensuring all work deliverables are met. These responsibilities pushed her to learn some new skills, including video games (she enjoys playing Nintendo Switch with her son).
We absolutely love to hear that Aline is living her best life, despite the odds and the responsibilities that are placed on her on a daily basis. Good luck Aline!
