Alexandra knows how to handle a huge number of sneakers
Alexandra, Logistics Trainee
Tens of thousands of shoe boxes arrive at hall number 6. Months of hard work are entering the final stage for Alexandra. She is one of the faces behind the DB Schenker 150th anniversary sneaker, specifically responsible for the logistics behind them. All employees, in more than 130 countries, must get their own pair of sneakers in the right size – precision is everything.
Alexandra is a Trainee at DB Schenker’s Sports Events department. This is her first job after studying management. The delivery of the sneaker is her first big logistics project.
Alignment with the regions and countries, checking the order lists, controlling the delivery – the last months were stressful for Alexandra, and the job isn´t done until every employee who has ordered a sneaker has their box delivered. But Alexandra keeps a level head all the time, serving a smile for everyone, especially all at the warehouse in Hanover. Like she never did something else.
Sport is her passion
It's no coincidence that the 29-year-old from Stuttgart is now working for Sport Events as part of her Sales & Marketing Traineeship at DB Schenker. She is part of a family of high class volleyballers. Alexandra herself served in the first division of Germany’s volleyball league. Now that she has ended her career, she stays fit by doing high intensity workouts. And that is what she will use her new DB Schenker sneaker for. And every time she slips into those special shoes, she will remember her first big logistics project – being the boss of boxes.
