Are you a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional looking to grow your career in road freight? We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Basildon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced logistics environment, ensuring smooth and efficient import operations while delivering excellent service to our customers.
Location: Basildon, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30
What will you be doing?
- Coordinating the arrival of import trailers and ensuring all processes run smoothly.
- Handling import manifests via EDI link and processing consignments for customs clearance in Sequoia.
- Investigating and managing missing or overlanded cargo efficiently.
- Preparing and distributing trailer unloading reports.
- Providing exceptional customer service via telephone, Teams, and email, ensuring timely and professional communication.
About you
Previous experience in road freight or logistics is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.
Confident in using EDI systems and customs clearance software (Sequoia experience is a plus).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a customer-first mindset.
