Land Operations Executive

Job Overview

At Schenker International S.A. de C.V. we are looking for a Land Operations Executive to be part of our LAND team, for our office in Mexico City.

What will be your challenges?

• Follow up on shipments according to customer requirements, through the entry of Events in the system and GPS capture.
• Provide customer service and respond to their requirements during the operation process of their shipments.
• Receive notifications of shipments to proceed with their proper coordination by Pricing, ensuring that the necessary instructions are received to comply with the contracted services.
• Open positions on the same day of collection, capture provisions for expenses, costs, and events. Capture data in the internal land control correctly.
• Enter supplier anomalies in QDS for review with the immediate boss and Land Pricing.
• Interact with suppliers, customer service, sales team, Pricing in order to propose improvements in the service through KPIs.
• Service coordination, provide follow-up and the correct status of services that are in transit. Control and management of new services added. 

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

• Graduate of the following degree: International Business, Foreign Trade, International Trade or similar. 
• At least 2 years in coordination of LTL, FTL, Oversize, intermodal and container handling land services. Dealing with national and foreign suppliers.
• Knowing how the import and export process works (MEX, USA, CAN), multimodal.
• Experience in interpreting quotes.
• General knowledge of land freight traffic.
• English: advanced. (Oral, written and reading) 
• Office knowledge: basic Excel
