This position is responsible for completing investigations into Class A CDL Driver candidates seeking employment. This includes investigations of employment history, driving record, accident record, and drug testing history in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Administration regulations. Incumbent will also complete other background investigations in accordance with company policies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Coach and mentor other members of the department on USAT processing.
• Responsible for verifying candidate data and information.
• Responsible for conducting complete 10-year work history investigations of prospective drivers using Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
• Responsible for conducting complete and thorough investigations of driving record, accident history, and drug testing history of prospective drivers using Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
• Conducts investigations per company's criteria thru electronic submission, phone interviews, email, fax, and correspondence.
• Responsible for thorough completion of other pre-employment background investigations in accordance with company policy
• Notifies Recruiting Manager immediately of any discrepancies that may disqualify a driver as per DOT regulations and/or company guidelines.
• Responsible for data entry of new drivers information within applicant tracking system
• Updates driver information thru electronic submissions to applicant tracking system.
• Contribute to building a positive team spirit and build morale and group commitment to goals and objectives
• Be recognized by team, peers, and drivers as a key supporter
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in high volume and fast-pace work environments.
• Experience in roles with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to:
• Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines.
• Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects.
• Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
• Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
• Travel domestically as necessary.
