    We are looking for you as a Global Solution Design Manager (f/m/d) for DB Schenker AG.

    Your tasks:

    • Analyse customer requirements based on highlevel information and benchmark of existing operations following the company standard of Contract Logistics Delivery Method encompassing the following phases - business development, tender/solution design, project plan and execution and Closing
    • As part of the design, analyze and simulate latest technology and automation and apply these based on best fit and RoI and manipulate data and fill in gaps with assumptions to design solutions for multiple Scenarios
    • Re-/design layout and material flow of existing operations and new enquiries and write process flows using MS Visio or Signavio to map the processes of existing operations and new enquiries
    • Summarize general enquiries and prepare summary of key facts & figures for Go/ No-Go decision of Senior Management (Internal and Customer)
    • Calculate resource, MHE, space, investment and other requirements for new projects using the Schenker internal calculation Tools
    • Liaise closely with other departments to ensure all costs are considered and cost up designed solution and convert costs to pricing as per customer pricing templates ensuring internal financial hurdle rates are met
    • Support the Global Customer Management Team in putting together the offer document and concept presentation for customer enquiries / RFQ responses and customer presentations and present the solution to customers and external and internal Top Management
    • Support the implementation of Logistics projects

    Your profile:

    • Proven track record of designing solutions concepts for new and existing warehouse operations of significant scale, with demonstrable new business wins where your solution design has come to fruition and been implemented
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
    • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage time efficiently is essential
    • Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management in general and being able to identify opportunities to improve the customer's supply chain
    • Appreciation of lean management principles and how they can impact positively in the business development cycle
    • Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
    • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to complete design despite lack of data by using and documenting assumptions along their impact
    • Willingness to travel globally
