    Responsible for coordinating activities for a fleet of drivers to assist in meeting or exceeding safety practices and measurements, required operating metrics, and providing service that will meet or exceed the customer’s service needs. Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations. Tasks & Responsibilities: • Responsible for timely identification and communication of potential Driver safety compliance issues including, but not limited to, HOS violations, Event Recorder events, drug and alcohol testing, terminal route-through and maintenance issues. • Provide training, counseling and remedial action on safety and compliance related behaviors. • Ensure assigned fleet of drivers are in compliance with FMCSA regulations. • Maintain DOT regulatory compliance with electric on-board recording device program. • Run and maintain reports related to Event Recorders, Hours of Service and Telematics systems. • Communicate with Driver Managers and Team Lead as necessary for issues requiring Drivers to change an existing or future load plan. • Coordinate PM’s, route-throughs, and freight relays as necessary to meet commitments. • Facilitate and provide training, guidance and support to Telematics installation and training for Driver Team Members as necessary to support a successful transition. • Meet deadlines and deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
    Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: • 3-5 years transportation experience, knowledge of DOT and FMCSA. • Computer literate, with the ability to grasp new programs and new applications. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other applications skills. • Effective communication skills. • Knowledge and general understanding of all aspects of transportation logistics business. • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
