    Your tasks

    The position aims to support the financial management in the IT Division Land Transport and Digital solutions (GILDS), and to support the GILDS IT Controller and all Enterprise Functions and Divisions in the department with the related payment and invoicing processes.

    Your tasks

    • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Divisions and Enterprise Functions for all tasks around vendor orders and their invoicing
    • Receive purchase orders and administrate them according to Schenker's procurement guidelines using the related tools and monitor the process
    • Work with the IT Controller to ensure that for purchase order requests:
      • Budget is available to cover the cost of the purchase.
      • Forecast of the respective execution item is updated to include the POR.
    • Ensure that the related invoice process is in line with Schenker guidelines:
      • Suppliers are following those guidelines.
      • Invoices are delivered on time and in the correct manner.
      • Invoices are approved for payment and properly configured (e.g. correct execution item and correct asset id assigned for capitalized costs).
    • Support the GILDS IT Controller with the month end closing process:
      • Submit accruals (check order against actuals)
      • Identify and correct wrong bookings and submit posting correction requests to Accounting
    • Support the GILDS IT Controller with the management of the budget:
      • Ensure GILDS cost center and execution item budgets are on track.
      • Provide accurate reporting of the budget and costs.
    • Constant and close collaboration with the Department Controller and the Portfolio Management.

    Requirements

    Your profile

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
    • To track record in agile product development or general experience in agile methodologies is an advantage, as well as previous exposure in Shipping or Logistics Industry
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
    • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic nature of accounting and finance
    • Fluent Business English (written and spoken)
    • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
